Folders become Files

OK, I am trying to burn dual-layer discs and what happens is when I burn a disc with a folder that has a symbol in the folder name, it becomes a file that can't do anything, it writes fine and verify confirms it burned correctly but it only shows a file with the same name as the folder that can't do anything, do I need to change some settings to fix this problem or should I just avoid using any symbols in my labels? Any help is much appreciated, I'm using Imgburn under normal default settings.

What's the exact name of the folder as you see it in explorer?
