Burning a copy of COD:MW2, read 5 pages of people having problems with ImgBurn, and followed every tutorial that's been posted.

 

Here're the last two logs that produced coasters... Perhaps someone can give some insight.

Before anyone says anything about media, software or firmware updates, YES this computer has the absolute latest soft/firmware updates (a/o 10 mins prior to burning these) and is a brand new comp, w/ an ATA MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-861H, DL burner, and I'm using the 8x DVD+R DL, 8.5GB media (MKM-003-00). Ergo, it will support 8x, but all of the tuts have said to run 2.4x or 4x, so, yeah.

 

All of the information is per what's been said in the various tutorials...

 

So, all of that said, would someone please tell me YTF this $#!T isn't working? Error given, on load: "Media could not be read."

 

 

OH! And for people getting the stupid "power-related" error? Try CLEANING YOUR LENS!

In addition to what mmalves wrote...

 

1. Your drive is over 2 years old now and that's pushing the life of a DL burner pretty near the edge of the cliff and Matshita isn't known for its' dependability to begin with.

 

2. ImgBurn makes a copy of what you tell it to, it doesn't play with the data, so like any other computer data, garbage in-garbage out.
