Cynthia Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, Ruppert! There should be a firmware version 1.03 or 1.04 out there somewhere. I just can't find where to get it. Is the burner in some type of laptop? Try to find the firmware on the brands homepage - like Dell/Vaio/HP.

Cynthia Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 You are using the best brand of discs and if the drive still can't deal with it - then it's the drive that is the weak point. If there is no later firmware listed on the Sony web page - then you have a problem.
spinningwheel Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Buy an external full sized USB2 drive, internal slim-line drives are known for their poor burning.
