I have the same drive as you and I test burned two brands with the same media code as you (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67) and they gave different burn qualities depending on the used speed. So using a different speed might solve your issue.

I used the Aone Plus and it seems like 8x gave higher quality points. The 6x speed gave write errors.

ok thanks another thing though im using a molex to sata power cable converter could this be why and ive used this the whole time ive had this burner and nothings gone wrong in 40 burns

I think the quality between individual discs can vary between each other and you might get lucky if you try to burn another one.

The quality on Aone discs are not the highest. The price reflects that. So you can expect some discs to fail during a burn.

I got the same error as you did when burning those discs at 6x and that was IMHO only related to poor disc quality. If you have hardware issues (bad connection/drivers) you normally end up with crappy/faulty burns every time you try to burn.

Sometimes some disc spindles are of worse quality that others. Did you switch to a new spindle when the error occurred? If you have more spindles - try with another package.
