spinningwheel Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I 16:52:38 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x; 6x) W 16:52:39 Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted: 2.770 KB/s (2x), Got: 8.310 KB/s (6x) The above are taken from your log, since mkm-003 is capable of much greater speed, your drive doesn't recognise the media correctly. Your drive is also about 5 years old and drives that old have a bad time with Dl discs. I would advise that If you cannot find a firmware update, scrap the drive and get a new one spinner

scrokk Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 Check your D: drive for errors. whichj program should I use?
mmalves Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The one built in Windows itself. Using Windows Explorer/My Computer, right-click on your D: drive and choose Properties, go the Tools tab and there you'll have the option for checking for errors. Also enable the option to fix the errors when asked.

mmalves Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 If it fixed the errors then it should be OK to burn again.
