Section_25 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi, I have burned a blue-ray movie by following the guide here, and the resulting burned movie works, but I have a question. The movie I'm burning is just over the size that will fit on a single layer DVD so I need to use a DL DVD. When I burn the movie on a DL DVD the movie plays fine, but at the layer break (Approx. half way through the movie) there is a really long pause and part of the video is actually missing (like 3-5 seconds is gone). After the layer break the movie continues and plays fine for the rest of the duration. I have looked around this forum and other sites and have seen an option to create a seamless layer break; however, when I add my BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders in build mode and press the calculate button, I do not get an option to choose seamless or change the layer break position. Is there a way to burn a blue-ray with the seamless option ? I am semi new to burning blue-rays so any info on this is appreciated.

With BluRay they did away the whole concept of layerbreak and it's all automatically handled by the burner/player. Post the log of that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu) so that we can see if there's anything else that could help.

I normally wouldn't mind a slight skip in the video, but in this case it happens to occur in one of the best scenes in the movie IMO, so I would really like to be able to adjust/fix this little snag. Also what you can do is add a few random large files to your compilation (rename them to 00000000.000 00000000.001 etc using advanced input mode) and your BD Video content will be pushed further into the 2nd "half" of the disc, probably bringing the freezing point to earlier in the movie.

That is an excellent idea. I will try that and re-burn to see if I get any better results. By the way, does it matter which folder I place these " random " images in? Thanks!
