Test123 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Hi all, noob here...I burned several .ISO files to a DVD-R while using ImgBurn for the first time. The total was 500 MB, and I wanted to burn more files after that first session and it won't let me. Does that mean the disc can no longer be burned? Other programs show the disc as unwritable, despite that on visual inspection, only a small portion of the writable surface is used. After checking, I know now that ImgBurn only does a single session--should have checked beforehand. Anyhow, could I erase the existing data (or ToC) using some other program, and use the remaining 4GB? Interesting that with ImgBurn after one session the disc appears 'closed', given that other burn programs I have worked with (Roxio, NTI, Nero etc.) allow multi-session burns. Thanks in advance for any info. Edited November 22, 2009 by Test123
Cynthia Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, Test123! ImgBurn does not support multisession in the current version.
Test123 Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Hi and welcome to the forum, Test123! ImgBurn does not support multisession in the current version. Thanks for the welcome!!! So I guess that means the remaining space cannot be used elsewhere. I am surprised at the multisession inability...particularly what ImgBurn does...did it finalize the session and close the disc automatically? Edited November 22, 2009 by Test123
Cynthia Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 No. Once burned it burned. It closes the disc automatically. It's also only +R media that supports multisession.
