I/O error. My brun thingy is screwed up?

So. I have tried to burned a several iso files. I got an error three times.. or I don't really know. I only saved the last log and screenshot because I was worried.

I showed my friend the screenshot. According him, a I/O mean Input/Output. He doesn't know much about burning too. But he thinks my hardware is 'dead'. I didn't used my burner that much so I was like how can it be that it is dead this soon? My laptop is kind of old, but I barely used it.

Anyways I hope you people can help me out or tell me what is wrong.

Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it doesn't work at first then try burning at 4x.

Also close all programs, including the ones in the system tray, and don't use the computer while burning, in order to prevent buffer underruns like you had.

Ah, so it probably happened because my burner firmware is old? I thought it was broken. Thanks a lot. It really helped me. I was worried. I will see if it works though.
