trumphodge Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I'm new to this. I have a Digistor LG burner. I successfully burned one Bluray ISO the other day (after lots of difficulty similar to what I'm experiencing now--it suddenly worked). But now I'm stuck again. I'm trying to burn a BluRay ISO created with Proshow Producer (Photodex). I choose that as the source and the new burner as the writer--it starts with the Logic comment and then it stops at this message DEVICE NOT READY (Not Ready to Ready Change-Medium May have Changed). This is what the log shows at this point: I 16:40:36 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 16:40:36 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 16:40:36 Total Physical Memory: 4,190,468 KB - Available: 2,119,196 KB I 16:40:36 Initialising SPTI... I 16:40:36 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 16:40:36 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM! W 16:40:50 Device Arrival Detected! I 16:40:50 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 16:40:51 Found 1 DVD±RW/RAM and 1 BD-RE! The disc I successfully burned was a Memorex BD-R--this one is a Memorex BD-RE, new. When I first tried this afternoon, I was asked by IMGBURN if I wanted this new disc formatted--when i said yes, it "erased" very slow;y and eventually fromze at 17% erased. It wouldn't let me cancel--I had to shut it down by shutting the computer down. Help!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 If the drive can't initialise the disc then there's nothing you can really do about it. Is the firmware on the drive up-to-date? Invest in a Verbatim BD-RE instead.
