I've just brought a new Windows 7 machine online and am looking for software which can author DVDs. I am using the 64-bit version and would like to be able to find something which is reasonably priced and robust which runs in this mode, although 32-bit versions are acceptible. I do not wish to use the Windows 7 "XP Mode" (virtualization), if possible. In the past, I have encoded video using TMPGEnc and IfoEdit, although I realize that neither of these tools are really for authoring.

I have a trial version of Nero 8 which seems fine but it is useless under Windows 7. They have a new version which is compatible with Windows 7 but I am a bit cautious, as Nero has been receiving bad reviews.

Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the forum, HammerFan! :)

Not sure what you want. Re-encode video stuff or do new compilations with menus or just reuthor "done" DVDs?

Not much stuff that is true 64 bit if you want to some free stuff for DVD.

Nero 8 works fine on my Win 7 64 bit computer.
