Datsun620 Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Hey first off I'd like to give thanks for everyone chiming in to help with this one. Heres my problem I have a .iso image I want to burn no faster then 2.4x (I selected to burn at that speed) When I start the burn process after some time it says in the log box that (wanted: 2.4x ---- got: 4.0x. Thats my problem I hope someone can help with this. Thanks. and heres my dvd drive: LG GH20LP20 F/W 1.02
spinningwheel Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 If you had posted the full log you would have seen the speeds that the burner recognizes as the burn speeds for your media according to it's firmware. Since it burns at 4X it is probably the lowest supported speed and ImgBurn cannot set a speed that the burner will not recognize.

I don't feel like waisting another dl dvd to produce a session log.
Cynthia Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 The ImgBurn log is saved on your hard disk, as long as you have the option 'Save the Log' enabled in the settings. This option is enabled by default when you install the program. Use the menu system to go to the location where ImgBurn saves the log file. First select 'Help' and then 'ImgBurn Logs...'.

Cynthia Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 I 03:10:33 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 4x) As stated before, you can only burn it as low as 4x with that combination of media/firmware.

Do you know of any updates on firmware for this device? I've searched Firmware HQ theres nothing on this LG burner.
Cynthia Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Why is it important to burn at 2.4x? Can't you play the one that you burned at 4x?
Datsun620 Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 Why is it important to burn at 2.4x? Can't you play the one that you burned at 4x? They wont read when burned at such a speed. at least not on my Hitachi.
mmalves Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Since the verify went OK the disc is good and should play fine. If it doesn't then you should read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200

Datsun620 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 Decided to try another game since the first one I tried didn't pass verification. Doesn't read in the box either. These backups that I made don't even seem to spin like the other originals...?
