2:3 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I have a crapload of flac files I want off my hard drive. I also have a crapload of discs, some of which are these double layer things. How do I get the flac data onto the discs? Because I tried both using plain folders, isos and img files and they can't seem to get their leg up onto the next layer and leave me with coasters. Following the guides, such as making isos and burning dvd video isos [assuming it'd work the same for plain ol' data], when I hit the calculate button it does not show the 'choose layer break dialog' box. [This happens regardless of the kind of disc.] How do I manually set the layer break, and at what setting? Should I just get a degaussing wand and wave it around like a gay wizard and hope something works?
mmalves Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 The layerbreak is only important when dealing with DVD-Video. How about posting a log so that we can see what you're doing? You can find them in ImgBurn's Help menu.
2:3 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 The layerbreak is only important when dealing with DVD-Video. How about posting a log so that we can see what you're doing? You can find them in ImgBurn's Help menu. Er, well there is this, but for these I canceled write away when I saw no 'choose layer break' dialog box. I seem to be missing the previous failed iso burn of the same data files. If it's only important for DVD video, then why is it unable to find the layer break? I swear I didn't mess with the settings.... LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I see no LB issue there. What I did notice is that your ImgBurn is out of date, upgrade it! btw, once you've made your 'flacdata.img' file, you burn it in Write mode. You're attempting to burn it in Build mode again - which would just wrap the flacdata.img file up inside another iso/img file (probably not what you want).

You're attempting to burn it in Build mode again - which would just wrap the flacdata.img file up inside another iso/img file (probably not what you want). Done and... mostly done. I don't know what the fuck I'm doing wrong. I decided to be positive about all this and make a windchime out of all the coasters not yet chewed up by my gf's foo-foo dog. It's very nice and was therapeutic for me. I don't know if getting verbatim discs would help for this one. Advice? Also, unlike the previous one's, this one I can't even access what few files were burnt. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 - Log ; Saturday, 05 December 2009, 10:26:08 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 09:48:46 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! You may have noted the sticky on this topic in the support board : http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Of course, updating the burner's firmware is a good idea too.
