Carbonide Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Is there a way to recombine a multi-part ImgBurn disc image without having to burn it first to a DVD? I checked the menus, options and on-line help but couldn't find a way, so thanks for any help in that matter.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Not in ImgBurn, no. You can use any old merge program though or make a .DVD file based on the file parts and mount it in Virtual CloneDrive. If you have an MDS file (which you should have), you can mount that in DAEMON Tools. http://www.fauland.com/af7.htm or just use the old 'copy image.i01 /b + image.i02 /b image.iso /b' command.
Carbonide Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) If I understand you right, a multi-part image is not a special format, but simply the original file split into several files without any additional information/padding. That means I may concatenate them with the cat command (I prefer Mac OS X: "cat part.001 part.002 part.003 > original_image.iso"), right? EDIT: I just tried it, it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help! Edited December 3, 2009 by Carbonide
