I started burning a DVD+R DL disc and soon into the burning i got the device not ready (medium not present). Now I cannot burn anything because of the same error. The only weird thing is other programs are working just fine, I have tried reinstalling imgburn and my dvd drive and everything but nothing has worked.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum, havok1579! :)

Can you post a log of that failed burn?

You'll find it here:

I no longer have it.. When I start imgburn without a disc I come up with the device not ready error, but with a disc i don't get it. Though I am afraid im going to create another coaster cause it will fail again. I have burned with other programs and successfully verified with imgburn. I prefer imgburn so I want to be able to use it without this problem.

I have a log of when i verified it though, hopefully that will help.

Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present) isn't an error: it's your drive saying that there's no disc inside, or at least it thinks so.

Did you uninstall/reinstall ImgBurn? If you didn't then the burn log should be there. We need to look at it in order to see if there were indeed burning problems or not. Since the verify turned out fine the disc should be good for use.

Yeah i did reinstall it, Ill try burning a disc and see if i get a error. The only thing I know for sure is that it was an I/O error when the problem happened during the burn.
