spinningwheel Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I 01:25:43 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x) Look for a newer firmware, the media should go to 8x I believe.
BundyBear Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 Hey mate, the firm ware is the newest I upgraded it just the other week. I have set it to 4x, it can go higher. However the disks are just the 2.4x disks... Do you think I should set the speed higher or should I set it to 2.4? Cheers.
mmalves Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Use a lens cleaning disc on that burner. Where are your blanks made? It's printed on the box/packaging/spindle.
BundyBear Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 Singapore mate. And I've heard they're the best ones?
mmalves Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Yes, the ones made in Singapore are the best. If, after cleaning, your burner still doesn't burn them then it's as good as dead and you should be looking for a new burner.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Give a different spindle a try though just in case you got a duff one.
