Cynthia Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, black ice! The failed one was set to burn at 6x speed. Have you tried with 2.4x or 4x as the write speed? Perhaps a later firmware could solve it. You now have RR07 installed. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-T50N/files.html
black ice Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 i have tried using 2x speed and 2.4x speed, but both fail. is it because my dvd-rom can't burn dual layer disk? i did some research on the web, and it should be able to burn dual layer disk principaly
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Try 4x or 6x if 2.4x fails. If none of them work, try the MKM-001-00 dye 2.4x speed Verbatim discs instead - they're more compatible. I assume you've already tried a lens cleaner? If all else fails, you'll have to get yourself a new drive.
black ice Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 i just tried 4x, and it works perfectly. thank you so much guys, u are all life savers. love u all to death! haha. really appreciate it.
