BigMacDaddy Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, BigMacDaddy! Looks as the current brand of media you are using is not supported by the drive. Try with another brand of media. Okay... I headed to the store soon for new DVD media. So, any preference on media? Verbatum, Maxell, HP, FujiFilm, Apple, maybe certain Generic blanks? The ones I were using are Philips DVD+R, you figure they would be fine with a name brand. What if I use DVD-R? Sorry for all the questions, kinda new at this. And...Thanks for the quick response!
jeff_nz Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 BTW, your windows 7 image will easily fit on a single layer disc, I wouldn't waste a double layer disc trying to burn it since it's not necessary (and they're more expensive)... did you realise it was a DVD+R DL disc you had? If you need to pick up some new single layer disc's (labelled 4.7GB) then try to stick with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden if you can. Those other brands you mentioned don't manufacture their own disc's so you could end up with anything depending on the batch and the quality varies considerably (typically low in our experience).
