Hi,

I'm running a samsung r620 and have just downloaded imgburn to back up xbox 360 games. I'm trying to change the book type from DVD-R to DVD+R DL with a new setting of DVD-ROM but every time i click change, an error message comes up "Failed! Reason: Cannot Format Medium - Incompatible Medium". I really have no idea what this means. The burner is DL, so i cant see what the problem would be. any ideas?? any help would be much appreciated.

I'm just reading through this now, and i have a newbie feeling that i may not be using a dual layer dvd... not sure though cause i dont have the package anymore and the discs are plain white with no writing. Am I right? thanks for the help by the way.

That's a Samsung drive and ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on Samsung drives, provided that the burner accepts the command. It can also booktype DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM by itself.
