(i looked around a bit b4 i posted and can't find anything that has worked so far) I'm using a brand new Pioneer DVR-216R external dvd burner with brand new Verbatim 4.7GB dvd-r media. mmalves Posted December 10, 2009 Share Posted December 10, 2009 From the looks of it there seems to be communication problems with the burner. The external enclosure the drive is in, is it the original external enclosure by Pioneer or one you've bought separately and assembled yourself? mmalves Posted December 10, 2009 Share Posted December 10, 2009 In that case, look for the latest drivers for your chipset: use SIW to find out the brand and model (look in Hardware -> Motherboard) then find the manufacturer's website with Gooogle. jointhemasters Posted December 10, 2009 Author Share Posted December 10, 2009 ok i went to dell.com and installed a chipset driver, tried 2 do both but it said i already had the best driver on the second 1. after that i tried it again.....twice. the first time i got to 98% so then i tried again and this time i only got 2 17%. heres the error log for the 17%.
