Question about verify function in IMGBURN

I have a question about the Verify function in IMGBURN 2.5.0.0.

 

Are there actual cases when the verification found a problem when checking out the disc contents after a burn? If there are any disc integrity problems on a particular disc, it's caught during the write process, not during a verification process. And I'm talking about DVDs...

Yes, loads - and we get new ones every single day.

 

If I didn't think it was important I wouldn't make the program do it by default.
