kerflot Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I set up Imgburn to burn a MDS to a DL DVD with verify enabled. Although the burn was successful, during the procedure I got the following error message which stopped the verification process. DeviceIoControl (D10_10CD_EXCLUSIVE_DRIVE, Unlock) Failed. Unable to unlock volume from exclusive access. Reason: Request Exclusivity = False. I'm new to this, only my second DL burn and first with verify on. Have I an incorrect setting in ImgBurn or is something else? I came across another post about a DeviceIoControl error but in that one the user had another program in the background, I don't have. I did have Daemon Lite installed but deleted it recently. I get that message about SPTD so obviously that's sitting somewhere - can't see it in Task Manager or Process Explorer. Would this be the cause?
kerflot Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 Since my last post I found out how to remove SPTD and did so. The trick was to use "SPTDinst-v162-x86.exe" from Duplex Secure Ltd. When you run the program the first window that comes up has options "Install" and "Uninstall". You click on "Uninstall". You are then asked to restart the Sysytem. Easy.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Don't use the Patin Couffin I/O interface, put it back on the default SPTI one.
kerflot Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Don't use the Patin Couffin I/O interface, put it back on the default SPTI one. Thank you O great wise Master. How did you do that. As a matter of fact I was using it. I did have that frozen picture problem on preview but sorted that out searching the posts, I fiddled with the settings then and promptly forgot all about it.
