I have had this problem as long as i can remember, there seems to be a problem with the write rate it starts up then shortly after while doing a Lead In it starts to reduce writew speed until it becomes 0/0 speed. At first i thought it was media, then i thought it was the drive's firmware, which it still could be but im sure it isnt. Its a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D firmware 1.15. Why update the firmware? i have already done this once in the last couple of months i was on 1.09 before and upgraded to 1.15. In IMGBURN for that Media it says it can support 4x speed. The only thing i can think of to do now is to RMA it. Its been a few year though since i first bought the drive, but its a pain that i cant burn CD's with it. mmalves Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Are you using a brand new blank disc each time you try to burn? It's weird that the drive errors out at exactly the same spot with the same error message on all your burn attempts.
