dadcls Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I am using using my Inspiron 1720 laptop and imgburn to burn a dvd to disk from a file on my second internal harddrive. The file I am burning is an .iso file. I boot up my computer, bring up imgburn, and successfully burn one DVD. After this first burn, there is no device detected any longer. I have to reboot my computer after each attempted burn. I have eject disk checked, and nothing else. here is the log: I 21:42:07 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 For whatever reason, the drive is vanishing from the system. This is nothing to do with ImgBurn. I suggest you take a look in Device Manager once it's happened to see if it's in there still (perhaps with a yellow exclamation mark?) and also in Event Viewer to see if it logs why it was removed. Cut + paste is the way it's supposed to be posted.
dadcls Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Thanks for the note. I will try to check Device manager for yellow exclamation points when it happens again. Sometimes I can make 4 or 5 copies with out having to reboot computer, sometimes it is just one copy. Thank you, Danny
