acoad Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 i bought a pioneer dvr-x162q amd when i open imgburn switch the drive to the pioneer one it will later say incompatible medium installed if any1 can help me it will be great already swapped the drive once for another one and still same problem so now i have no idea whats going on

mmalves Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 What's the type, brand and rated speed of the blanks you're using? Also try those blanks on other burners you may have access to, maybe the blanks themselves are defective

Also try those blanks on other burners you may have access to, maybe the blanks themselves are defective im using the verbatim 2.4x idk i dont have any burners available maybe my cousins mac but ill see if i try it uve never heard of this problem before?
mmalves Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Just to clear things up, you have a Verbatim blank disc in the Pioneer burner and the Pioneer burner is selected as the Destination in ImgBurn's Write mode, right? And you get the Incompatible Medium Installed message? If that's true then your burner is defective and you should get it returned/exchanged under warranty.
