Jason816123 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) Yup, it's junk...and...why are you double posting the problem? probably because your answer didn't help what are you spinning wheel...the forum police? it wasn't a double post... why are you excited that i have bad dvd drive that has only burnt one dvd in its lifetime... thanks for your help anyway. laserfan Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 The folks that hang around here deal with the same problems over and over and over and over and... well, ad nauseum. The Guides are too complicated; they need a simple sticky "Problems burning discs?": 1. Check your drive's firmware for latest. Still problem? 2. Make sure that firmware includes support for the media you're using (need a small how-to for this). Still problem? 3. Try Verbatim and/or Taiyo Yuden 4. Try another burner 5. Try another burning software 6. Make your post here if all else fails!
Jason816123 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 thanks laserfan and spinning wheel for making me feel so 'belittled', i was simply trying to burn a dvd of my dad who passed away...
Jason816123 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 thank you for your help, i got a new dvd writer, with verbatim disks and it works fine, thank you for your help i appreciate it tremendously.
spinningwheel Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Jason, get a grip on yourself dude.. No one here is trying to do anything but help you with the problem that you have posted about. My drive must be junk...I need this slideshow burnt like yesterday...so today i drove 100 mile roundtrip b/c this town has no Verbatim dvd'sNow my drive will not read them 'medium not present' This lightscribe drive is like 4 years old, must be junk... Yes it's junk, firmware and the drives physical make-up have changed in the last 4 years and yours is now out-dated. why are you excited that i have bad dvd drive that has only burnt one dvd in its lifetime... I could give a shit less about how many copies you have made in a lifetime. If your drive will not burn to Verbatims, it's undoubtedly shot and needs to be relaced. what are you spinning wheel...the forum police? it wasn't a double post... Nope, not the cops, but isn't this the same problem you posted about a few days ago?
Jason816123 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) then why do you have such a cocky ass attitude? i said thank you for your help, you didn't need to go on and on about how you could give a shit.. Edited December 22, 2009 by Jason816123
Jason816123 Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 i've got a grip, i said thank you then got treated like dirt
laserfan Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 thanks laserfan and spinning wheel for making me feel so 'belittled', i was simply trying to burn a dvd of my dad who passed away...Hmmm, what in my post "belittled" you in any way whatsoever???
spinningwheel Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 said thank you for your help, you didn't need to go on and on about how you could give a shit.. Sorry, must have been writing while you were posting. My attitude is simply a reflection of your own, I didn't ask you to be a smart ass (Post #7 and/or post#9). You gave the attitude, I answered with mine. That's how it works. spinner
