mmalves Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Try burning at 4x. Try a cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. If all that fails then get yourself a nice normal-size external burner because slim burners are rubbish.

laserfan Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 In my experience with this discs, I've found that my burner seems to do much better with them if I burn at 4x and not 2.4x. So mmalves suggestion to try 4x is IMO a good one. It's occurred to me that at 4x the disc is burned in a much shorter time frame than 2, causing me to wonder if my burner might be overheating or something. But that's just a wild guess, and there seem an awful lot of variables at work in getting good/reliable DL burns.

But i just bought a DVD burner for dvd and ofc. DL and it worked. I bought a samsung so for all you google'rs out there the solution is: Buy a new external burner. u can buy 1 for like €15,- and use verbatims dvd's. i bought this one: http://www.samsung.com/NL/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/optical-disc-drives/dvd-writer/SE-S084B/RSBN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail change the /NL/ in the url to your country.
