SpitfireS Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Here's the part of the log that matters: I 21:49:08 Using Layer Break LBA: 2047069 -> 2047072 (VTS_01, PGC: 1, Chapter: 11, Cell: 11, Vob/Cell ID: 1/11, Time: 00:59:56, SPLIP: Yes) I 21:49:11 Optimal L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2.047.072 I 21:49:11 Optimal L0 Data Zone Method: IFO Cell Boundary I 21:49:57 Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Succeeded! As far as I can tell by the log the second layer was allready being burned so I think the layer break itself wasn't to blame, is that correct? Strange is that the next writable Address is in the first layer. Verbatim MKM-003-00 @ TSSTCorpSH-S222L @ 4x. The next burn of the same file went fine. I have to admit I did change the layer break with VOBblanker (that is open source so OK to mention, right?) Happy New Year.
mmalves Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Yes, if the fingerprint is "greasy"/dirty enough it can interfere with the burn process. And by censoring the log you're limiting how far we can help you, as there's important information in it that we could use to provide you better suggestions.

Lesson learned. Unless the log reveal's a problem.
SpitfireS Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 If I may ask: what were you looking for in this log that I didn't post before? Just learning from the experts.
mmalves Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I was looking if the burner has the latest firmware available and if it has correctly recognised the blank disc.
