low burning speed with new dvd-burner ?! why ?

Hi,

 

I've used dvddecrypter to burn images with my lg 4x dvd-burner and everything worked great.

Now I'v bought a new drive, the benq dw1655 and and new discs, verbatim 16x dvd+r.

 

now the maximum speed I get is around 2,4 x ??? :-(

The dvd+r are recognized correctly, but I only get 2,4x, even at the end of the disk.

 

Do you have any idea's how to fix this ? DMA-Mode is enabled.

Will ImgBurn 1.3 maybe work better ? (because it's up-to-date ?)

Read this....

 

Your BenQ should recognize the discs correctly, you can check out the media section of the Forum to see what a properly working BenQ can do with these discs. If you delete the controller and reinstall it and then you still have a problem, please post a logfile.

As per spinningwheel's post, it does sound like it's a DMA issue.

 

Will ImgBurn 1.3 maybe work better

 

This won't fix the problem, (pending on what it is) but you should be using the latest, so yes.

 

Oh, and as spinner said, always include the log in your post, this will give us much needed info to your problem.
