jcase Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I think my drive isn't compatible I've tried 2 different brands of discs. It burns but then when it verifys it fails. I've taken some of the same iso files and transfered them thru WBFS onto my hard drive for my wii using USB loader gx they work fine. Can some recommend a good external drive? Or maybe it's something else.I 07:05:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Do you get the exact same error on decent write once (i.e. DVD-R) media? Try cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc. Buy some decent Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden dye based discs.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 You don't need to quote to reply, just hit the 'add reply' button or use the fast reply right down the bottom. Do you have a log from the attempt at burning the other discs? I just want to see which MID/dye they use. If decent discs don't work then all you can do is clean the drive and hope that fixes it. If it doesn't then you should buy a new drive.
jcase Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 I don't have the logs from the other disc attempts at that time i was using the previous version of imgburn and thought that was the problem. which by the way doesn't seem to update when i attemp it maybe because i'm downloading
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Perhaps you could try burning one of those discs again now then with 2.5.0.0? You'd got to try something besides what you've shown us or we have nothing to go on.
jcase Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 I apoligize but i no longer have any of the other discs to try all i have are coasters lol I will go buy new discs should i buy dvd-rw or dvd+rw
mmalves Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 As per LUK's advice above: Do you get the exact same error on decent write once (i.e. DVD-R) media? Buy some decent Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden dye based discs.
