IMG BURN failure- Trying to format my disc!

I am trying to make a DVD+RW of a movie, used the decrypter, then went into IMG BURN and wanted to write to the disc. A pop up said the disc needs to be formatted first, so when I selected drive, erase, full, I thought I had it, but it still failed. Log is shown below- can anyone help me? This is getting really frustrating- I think my Sony DVD+RW media is the problem, but let me know. Thanks!

Bad firmware support for that MID/dye ('SONY-S11-00') I guess.

To be honest, I've never found the Plextors to be any good with DVD+RW discs, they always fail to burn them far more frequently (and earlier on in the RW's life) than other drives.

So, my next step is to go to the Plextor site, and post in there about the firmware. Round and round I go, and no solution in site, short of getting another burner??

Last firmware for that drive was released 2.5 years ago. I doubt there will be any new ones released. A new drive sounds as a good option if not post #4 works.
