Hi, this is the first time i ask for help in a forum in my life.

I just cant get this to work.

I just got a new burner in my mailbox and im trying to change booktype for DVD+DL media to DVD-ROM.

as you can see here

http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=494479

it says

Lite-On DVD+RW burner IHAS124-19

my computer reads it as

ATAPI IHAS124 Y ATA Device.

When i try to change booktype it says:

[LITE-ON]

Change For: Drive (For DVD+R DL Media)

Current Setting: Unknown (FAILED!)

Reason: Invalid Field in CDB.

On all other tabs it tells me

Unknown (FAILED!)

Reason: Invalid Command Operation Code except for NEC, in NEC i can change booktype.

It seems that drive uses a NEC chipset so you should use the NEC tab.

Have you actually burned a DVD+R DL disc with it? Most burners automatically booktype DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM by themselves.

Thanks for fast reply. No i havnt, since i wasted 10 discs on my 4yr old burner i bought this one, and wanted to post before trying it myself. ill try with NEC tab and reply how it went.

EDIT:

Ok my first burn went OK!, if this 2nd burn is OK then its a success since i havnt succeeded 2 burns in a row with my useless old burner.
