I want to burn the video on there to a dvd, it says my authoring software needs to be able to convert to MP4 for High Definition. Will IMGBURN software do this? I am new at this any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to have a DVD playable on any DVD player then you'll need to use DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar program to do the conversion. Now, if you just want to make a copy of your file (e.g. as a backup) then you should use ImgBurn's Build mode to burn it to a disc.
