glnz Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I'm getting an error message over and over when I try to burn a new DVD. (I had converted an .avi into a VIDEO_TS folder using DVD Flick, but then I get the error message when I try to burn the DVD.) Now, to be fair, the files in the VIDEO_TS folder are slightly too big for the capacity of the blank single-layer DVD-R disk. The files are about 5% too big. But I indicate I want to burn anyway. Then I get the error message. I tried two different blank disks. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHMENT (a Word doc) FOR ALL THE INFO - THE ERROR MESSAGE, THE INFO IN THE IMGBURN WINDOW, AND THE LOG. What do you suggest? I'm a newbie so this has been too technical for me. Many thanks! imgburn error.doc
Cynthia Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Over burning that amount of extra size is not going to work. Load the files from DVD Flick in a program like DVD Shrink and reduce the size to fit a single layer disc. Then you can burn the resized files in ImgBurn.
ianymaty Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Next time to save you from trouble, make the correct settings in DVDFlick by puting the media target to a DVD5 - 4,7GB that will asure you not have to shrink it to fit DVD5
