mmalves Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Look for the latest SATA drivers for your SATA controller and/or motherboard's chipset (tip: use SIW to identify them).
BundyBear Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Thanks for the reply mate, I just did that and I still got the same error. Just to make sure I did the right thing though: http://asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=vddABl4wQXZXLyQY&content=download I'm using windows vista 32 bit atm. and i downloaded from the chipset section, "ChipsetIntel8111010_W&V.zip". Is that right? I couldn't find any specific SATA drivers...
mmalves Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Install this (reboot if asked) then install this (also reboot if asked).
BundyBear Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Cheers for your help mate, the first one installs fine, but the second one says "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". Should I be able to burn a disc even without the second one installed?
mmalves Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 You'll have to burn again to find out By the way, install service pack 2 for Vista.
BundyBear Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Alright, I'll give it another shot. And thats strange I have windows update on dunno why it didn't tell me to install SP2. o.O lol cheers for the help.
BundyBear Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Yeahh it worked this time!! Thanks alot mmalves, you always know the right thing to do!!
