Vortex3636 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Hey I'm new. I'm just getting into burning game discs from back ups and I'm having some trouble. I bought some Sony DVD+R DL dvds to burn to and I've gotten errors twice. I only have logs to one but they were like Invalid Address For Write errors. Here's the log I have: I 15:57:14 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! mmalves Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Try burning at 4x. Try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or manually if you know how to do it. If all that doesn't help then read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
Vortex3636 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Well I read into that tread and I did notice one troubling thing. I am using my laptop that my parents got me for Christmas. It had a double layer burner installed and they said on the thread that laptop drives are gnerally trash does my problem sound like tha kinda of issue or can you even tell? I know I'm deffinately going to return my Sony discs because they're annoying me and I think (hope) that's the issue.
Cynthia Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 MBIPG101-R10-65 I would go for Verbatims instead of the Sonys. If Verbatims also fails, get an external nice writer.
Vortex3636 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) I'm going tomorrow to get Verbatims definitely and praying it'll work cause I CANNOT afford a new writer atm Maybe I'll ask for one for my birthday next month. I'd like to have a good one just in general but for right now I hope my writer isn't the issue. And sorry to to be rude lol thank you for the help thus far Edited January 29, 2010 by Vortex3636
