Rogue Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Trying to burn a image and I'm getting this error code right of the bat. Any suggestions what this may mean? Failed to set L0 data zone capacity! Reason: Power calibration area is full. any help will be much appreciated.
Cynthia Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Most times it's related to bad support for the media code by the drive. Post a log as it will give some more clues on what can be done to fix it.

Cynthia Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 You could try to install the latest firmware version 1.11 http://www.firmwarehq.com/Aopen/DUW1608%252FARR/files.html But I doubt it will help. Verbatims also seems out of luck based on this thread with the latest firmware installed. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12605 My feeling is that the burner (released 2004) is simply to old to deal with DL media. I would go for a nice new burner.
