techitweb Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 After seeing that Windows takes 15-20 min to copy a 6.6GB DVD to my hard drive, I had the brainstorm that ImageBurn will probably do it faster. However, 2 problems arose. Firstly, ImageBurn wouldn't let me copy the DVD as a file (which I could do in Windows). [At least, my limited familiarity with ImageBurn didn't let me do so.] Secondly, ImageBurn was writing the iso image to my hard drive at 0.1x, eventually getting up to 0.3x and finally 0.4x! After FOUR HOURS of writing, the ImageBurn preview window suddenly opened up - although it was black. I closed the ImageBurn preview window and presto, the write speed immediately increased from 0.4x to 2.0x and the task was completed in less than 10 minutes. (2x also seems somewhat slow..) Here's the log: I 13:56:51 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started!
