MartyMcSupeFly Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Ive been burning dvd's for quite some time and I still have not been able to figure out how to burn a dvd that isnt "choppy". What I mean by this, is that during the movie, every 2 seconds it will freeze for a split second and continue. Its such a small jerk, its hardly noticeable. Given the movie is still very watchable, its just not 100% perfect. No audio sync problems by the way, only the video problem persists. It appears as if the problem lies within the decoding process and not the actual burning process because the video is jerky after the decoding process before I burn to dvd. I am burning at the HIGH setting, with a thread count of 2. It decodes at about 10FPS which is time consuming, but the quality is overall better. I am using a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-K17LF ATA Burner...which shouldnt matter because its clearly the decoding process that is causing the chops. My laptop is fairly new, 2 years old. I shut down all applications in the background while im decoding, as well as my wifi connection just to be safe. Does anybody have a fix for this or is it just part of the process? P.S.
