jcreighton Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 hi, immediately after starting to burn a bd disc (1-2 seconds), i clicked abort as had a wrongly labeled disc inserted. abort was acknowledged and the program never went beyond "reserving track", but now the disc reads as 'not empty'. i have restarted pc, in case it made a difference- it didn't, and would like to know if there is any way to save the expensive and 99.99% blank disc? i thought it only wrote during times it says 'writing', but does it also write during the 'reserve track' phase? if there are any suggestions on how/if the disc can be saved, i would appreciate it. thanks. JC
mmalves Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 If it says the disc isn't empty then you can't burn it again. Once the reserve track/write lead-in/etc commands are sent most burners immediately write to the disc even if you abort it, so you would be better off letting it burn. Didn't you get the Image Details dialog showing everything just before burning? If you cancel there then nothing's written on the disc.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 copy + paste everything from the disc info panel on the right please.
