Trying to burn a Windows 7 OS installation disc

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have in a folder on my desktop all of the following files. (Image attached.)

These are not in iso. I extracted them from a zip file. IS THIS WHERE MY PROBLEM IS because it is not a Boot Image?

I have followed the instructions from this post - How to create a Windows Vista / 7 installation disc using ImgBurn

I am not getting the message about this being an OS file. (Picture attached)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You added the values from the log file and extracted?

install.wim is normally in the 'sources' folder... or at least that's what ImgBurn uses to detect if it's an OS install disc.

THIS WAS MY PROBLEM - I put the install.wim in the sources folder at it appears to work now. Burning it now!
