Ritek is not the best quality disc. dont have any other brands but ive made lots of succesful burns before just not on this movie for some reason
Cynthia Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Might be that the RW disc is damaged/scratched.
danny9940 Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 i tried many discs im just confused as to why the file plays fine on my computer but after i burn it the last 6 minutes is cut off
Cynthia Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 My guess is that the missing part is in the cache I 22:17:16 Synchronising Cache... and when that was not written to the disc, due to the error W 22:23:17 User opted to skip the 'Close Track/Session/Disc' functions. it's not there when you play it.
danny9940 Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 that part of the log is where i cancelled and tried again look at this one i tried again and same results at the bottom of log it shows completed after 14 minutes

Cynthia Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I 23:34:26 Source File: C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel.DANIEL-1D0F13E6\Desktop\avatar.iso As I can see from the last log you posted, all sectors in the source ISO is written to the disc. If you mount the avatar.iso (DaemonTools/Virtual Clone Drive or some other virtual disc program) does it play the last 6 minutes in that .iso? Another issue might be that the disc is badly written at the end of the disc even if you got the success at the end. A verify enabled burn would tell that.
danny9940 Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 It can take ages before the Synchronizing Cache is done. A full burn at 2x takes around 30 minutes. So if your burn up to that part was 13 minute. I 22:27:44 Writing LeadIn... I 22:41:09 Synchronising Cache... It can take 17 minutes more. So I think you just need to be patient and let the program finish the burn and not abort it. i didnt abort it said finish and ejected cd
Cynthia Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Forget that post. I saw in the last log that it was a completed burn. Suggest you do a new burn and enable the verify option to rule out any badly written sectors that might make your player skip the last part of the movie due to it can't read the disc.
