talan Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 As topic says, "no writers detected" I have tried to uninstall the device and rebooted afterwards but the same problem occurs. I have also tried several dvds just to make sure that the dvd itself wasnt corrupt. Do you guys have any solution to this? I'm using ms xp sp3 imgburn.bmp
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Can you see your device(s) in Windows Device Manager? No yellow ? sign in that device list? You know what models of devices you have?
talan Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 name was too long so I took a screenshot at it.dvdrom.bmp
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I think your issue is that none of your devices are DVD burners. Switch to Read mode in ImgBurn and see if you can see your devices there.
eSkRo Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 name was too long so I took a screenshot at it.dvdrom.bmp Looks Like a Virtual Drive to me just to know, Do you have Deamon Tools or Virtual Clone Drive installed?
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 That you can see them in read mode indicates at you don't have any CD/DVD burner so you need to buy one. Hej förresten! Trevligt att se en svensk i forumet
talan Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 oh this was quite embarrassing. This might be true actually I always took for granted that I had a dvd burner. thanks for the help anyways!
