tardi Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Hi folks, I'm in the habit of making a backup of each Xbox360-game I buy. Sometimes these things get scratched, our dog tries to eat them or the kids use them as a frisbee. I do it this way because I don't want to lend pirates a hand by downloading illegally. Luckily I did this : yesterday it turned out that my Fable 2-disc was damaged and wouldn't play anymore. I was SO glad I backed it up when I bought it! But when I tried to burn it again on a blank Verbatim Dual Layer-dvd it turned out it burns the game as a ordinary DVD and my Xbox360 won't play it as a game! Anyone who's got an idea what I did wrong? thanks a bunch! *T*
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 No log? How are we supposed to know what you did? This covers most things. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200

This covers most things. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200 Well, I did what I have been doing the last couple of times. Problem is that Imgburn seems to think we're dealing with an ordinary dvd here, as where we're dealing with a game. Could this have to do with the way I packed the game with Winrar? I did a formatC last week and installed Winrar again, maybe there's something wrong in the settings?
Cynthia Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 it turned out it burns the game as a ordinary DVD The log from that burn would tell us what settings you used.

I guess I can't recall the log of my latest burn? So I'll have to waste another dvd on this? Oh man... And when exactly do I copy the log? thanks!

P.S. that log shows no problem, so reading this still stands. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200

Before you get foul-mouthed you might want to consider that I WAS trying your program on my own backup, but that didn't show any usefull log at all so we decided to try it on a bunch of downloaded games on the hard drive owned by my daughters boyfriend. You might want to take ALL the facts into consideration before becoming impolite. P.S. that log shows no problem, so reading this still stands. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12200
tardi Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Well, it worked for me - no thanks to you. Oh yeah one more thing before I get the fck outta here : my daughters boyfriend pointed out to me that Imgburn is used AN AWFULL LOT by ... pirates! Wasn't that what you were so against?!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I never said I was against anything - I don't care what other people choose to do, that's their business, not mine. I was mearly pointing out that I'd caught you with your pants down (so to speak). Personally, I thought it was quite funny but I guess you had no way of knowing that... I forgot to smile

I was mearly pointing out that I'd caught you with your pants down (so to speak). Personally, I thought it was quite funny but I guess you had no way of knowing that... I forgot to smile Only ONE thing is true about what you write here : you never explicitly said you were against it. You simply asume (EVEN after I explained the situation) that you are right and call it "catching someone with their pants down". How sad that you have so little trust in people, somewhere along the path of your life something must have gone terribly wrong (don't worry, a good therapist can help you over that). To top it all of you start getting rude, tssss... But I could have known that : it's only now that I notice you are British. What else can be expected from people so dumb, loud, ugly, drunk and rude? Goodbye now Mister Hooligan...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Dumb, loud, ugly, drunk and rude.... wow, we Brits obviously have a great sterotype attached to us where you come from. My initial statement came BEFORE you explained yourself. I've not commented on it/you since then. Lighten up a little and enjoy the rest of your day in 'I take everything said on the Internet seriously' land.
