Teoh Han Hui Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I have had very limited success burning these Mitsubishi 16x DVD-R (MCC 03RG20) on my Pioneer DVR-218L with the latest firmware. They work flawlessly on the Samsung SH-S223F. I am contemplating sending the drive back as it is still under warranty. Your advice is greatly appreciated. I 02:41:46 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! mmalves Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Look for the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or SATA controllers (hint: use SIW to identify them).
Teoh Han Hui Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 The drivers are already the latest versions. [iNFs Not Filtered Out] No INFs left. System is up to date.

Then you're out of luck because that error can only be caused by a driver or filter driver. Post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).

Teoh Han Hui Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) Where are those discs made? They are made in Taiwan by CMC (batch code starts with MAP). Edited February 22, 2010 by Teoh Han Hui
Cynthia Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 The same ones as I use, if they are under the Verbatim label. So they should be ok. I also have the same drive as you and they work here. I also have OPC enabled as you do. Have you tried another speed than 16x, like 8x? Could be something wrong with the burner as you have another SATA burner that work and that should rule out any setup issues in the computer (like drivers).

Failure rate is spectacularly high regardless of speed (but 6x guarantees failure, as far as I've tried). I will send the drive back for warranty claim. Thanks.
