jmet Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Welcome to the forum streetmachine! Have you been successful playing DVD+RW's before?
streetmachine Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 I have never tried before... I did everything as it said, and it burned ok, it just wont play...
jmet Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Can you give me the brand name of the burner and the model # of the burner? Also can you give me the brand name and model # of the DVD player you tried using. It could be very well that they do not support DVD+RW disc.
streetmachine Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 am just burning it again now, will post the log file results... thanks for the welcome too

streetmachine Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 the burner definatley supports the media, and my DVD player is almost brand new, so it should play fine... i am soooo confused !
streetmachine Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 ok burnt it again, my computer recogninses the DVD in drive, when i try to play it in Windows Media player, i get ... Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. but i can play any other DVD in WMP absolutely fine....
jmet Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 (edited) Well, your drive/burner should be able to play it, as it does support DVD+RW disc. - http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DV...list=2#comments Edited October 7, 2005 by jmet

jmet Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Windows Media Player is highly unrelieable in playing DVD's! I really do suggest in using a different player, such as MPC (Media Player Classic). MPC is totally different than WMP. Go here to download MPC - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ackage_id=84358
streetmachine Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 thanks v much, that fixed the problem... yay !
jmet Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 You're very welcome! Glad you got it working properly!
