imgburndrp Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Hi, I have problem burning ISO images with ImgBurn in Windows 7 x64 installation. It's 785G with AHCI mode on + installed RAID drivers from AMD (AHCI drivers lock my computer, upon install). This same setup worked great on Windows XP 32bit (AHCI mode in BIOS + RAID driver in windows). Here is the log: I 19:05:07 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! As the other guy with this problem pointed out here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8861 I tried ISO Recorder 3.1 and it worked without problem.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Nothing I can do about it, the program is behaving exactly as it should do in that situation. If it's getting invalid response data from the drive then that's something you need take up with your drivers.
imgburndrp Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 I tried with "DVD+R Reserve Track" turned on with DVD+RW disk. Result is the same endless loop.
mmalves Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Since Windows 7 has built-in support for AHCI SATA controllers you can install it without using AMD drivers, and maybe later try installing them.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 The only option I'd try now is the 'Immediate I/O' one. That 'should' get around the issue because the problem is in the polling (and you only poll when Immediate I/O is enabled).

It worked I checked "Don't Use Immediate I/O" in Settings - I/O tab and here it is: I 21:48:33 Destination Device: [2:1:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D SB01 (D:) (RAID)I 21:48:33 Destination Media Type: DVD+RW (Disc ID: INFODISC-A10-01) (Speeds: 2.4x; 4x) I 21:48:33 Destination Media Sectors: 2 295 104 ... LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Hopefully they'll fix whatever the issue is by then.
