Today I've burnt two costers and received an unknown error message. I/O error! Here's a screenshot of the event: I'm using Sony dvd+r. It hasn't made any difference however. I've burned my third coaster with the same error message as above. There is a later firmware http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-3550A/files.html If it worked before with the same discs, perhaps the drive needs a cleaning. I won't get a chance to try again tonight to see if its just a fluke or whatnot however I thank you for your help. Maybe my pc just doesn't like Sony disks.
