ImgBurn 2.5.0.0 stops burning (time remaining unknow)

Hello there

 

I am trying to burn an .iso on a DVD with ImgBurn 2.5.0.0 but it doesn't work.

The device is a LG GSA-H42L. I have the latest firmware version (SL01) I DLed from LG website. I am using Verbatim DVD-R.

I removed Daemon Tools (SPTD included).

From there nothing happens. It's stuck at 19%, "time remaining: unknown"

Could you please help me solve this problem? I really enjoyed the soft until now...

Look for the latest Win7 drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or storage controlelrs (hint: use SIW to identify them). You might also try burning at 8x or 12x, or at 16x if you need the speed.

I did a thorough update of the drivers and... It worked ! Bravo !

Thank you for your quick answer, it spared me so much time...

Just a question if you have the time: how come a motherboard drivers update solved the problem? A Win7 matter?

The Win7 standard drivers should work in most cases, but with some motherboards the hardware implementation may be different in some way that only the manufacturer's driver can understand/handle.
