carver0311 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 everytime i try to write the disc it says it needs to be formtted. so when i click to format it says failed to erase disc reason power calibration area error. just wondering how i fix it. also i was going to try a different disc it won't even read the disc now it says device not ready medium not present. what does this mean. thanks for any help.
Cynthia Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Sounds as your burner doesn't like that brand of media. Can you post the Disc Information Info you see in the right window panel in the Write mode?

I think your burner doesn't really like the INFODISC-A10-01 discs. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/SSM-8515S/files.html Power Calibration Area Error That area is where the burner calibrates the laser to test how to write the disc.

carver0311 Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 ok so i finally got it burn and verify completely. when i put it in the xbox it showed there was a disk in there i hit play but only the xbox symbol came up. i couldn't play the game. Did i do something wrong. and do i have to have a modded xbox to play these burnt games. if i do does anyone now a good place to get one.
