connorscott1 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) I know it looks like your typical devices not found error, but this is somewhat different. I'm really on an iMac right now, and am running a Windows XP Virtual Machine under VirtualBox. I mounted my DVD drive to the VM (MATSHITA UJ-875) and am able to see CD's and DVD's show up in the My Computer panel. However, ImgBurn is not able to see my drive, disk or no disk inside. Here's a screenshot to better depict what I'm trying to say: As you can see, my Counter Strike: Source disc is recognized by Windows, meaning it doesn't have to do with the VM. I'm not really sure what's going on. I already attempted to uninstall the IDE controller from the Device Manager and reboot, all to no avail. I don't have access to the BIOS being that this, again, is a VM. Here's the log notes: I 19:51:59 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 19:51:59 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 19:51:59 Total Physical Memory: 1,048,048 KB - Available: 750,036 KB I 19:51:59 Initialising SPTI... I 19:51:59 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 19:51:59 Found 1 DVD-ROM! Then I can't do anything else because there, according to ImgBurn, aren't any devices. Anyone have a fix? There's not much software out there to burn an Xbox 360 ISO file, which is why I need it to work with Windows. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Edited March 11, 2010 by connorscott1
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 VirtualBox isn't presenting the drive as a burner - notice how it says it found a 'DVD-ROM' in the log.
